Topic: Hispanic Impact Fund

Since the beginning of COVID-19, H-E-B has made critical pivots for in-store and online shopping experiences to help keep the community safe, healthy, and fed. Additionally, H-E-B has made concerted efforts to equip their Partners with the best and most current information regarding the pandemic so they can make informed decisions for themselves and their families.

We know that the Hispanic communities we serve will be disproportionately impacted by the current economic downturn associated with COVID-19.

Austin Community Foundation announced today a $50,000 grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation to the Hispanic Impact Fund to support workforce development and entrepreneurism for Hispanic individuals and families in Central Texas.

Over the past few months, the Hispanic Impact Fund at Austin Community Foundation has been hard at work reviewing applications for the Fund’s second grant cycle.

This year, 23 local Latino leaders and allies came together to review and discuss the 75 incredible grant applications we received from Latino-serving nonprofits across Austin and Central Texas.

November 14, 2019 – The Hispanic Impact Fund announced six local nonprofits to receive a combined total of $180,000 for programs aimed at improving the economic security of Hispanic and Latino communities in Central Texas.

Austin Community Foundation awarded nearly $400,000 through the Women’s Fund and Hispanic Impact Fund, each with a strategic and thoughtful process aimed at closing the opportunity gap in Central Texas.
