Making Housing More Accessible
Access to safe, stable, affordable housing provides multiple and long-lasting benefits for individuals and contributes to a vibrant community. Austin Community Foundation invests in the protection, preservation, and production of housing that is affordable and attainable through collaborative philanthropic solutions.
Our Approach
Affordable housing can take many forms, and a myriad of financing sources is necessary to create the spectrum of housing options needed in Central Texas. That’s why Austin Community Foundation makes impact investments in the form of low-interest rate loans to increase the capacity of housing-focused organizations that otherwise would have to seek more expensive funding sources and delay projects that are desperately needed today.
