Lindsay’s role:
My role at the Foundation is to connect community members with meaningful opportunities to make a difference across Central Texas through ACF. I engage our neighbors in giving and steward philanthropic support that advances economic mobility and responds to urgent community needs.
What brought Lindsay to the Foundation:
I am grateful for the opportunity to make my hometown a place that helps more people thrive and enjoy living in Central Texas. Austin Community Foundation is a thoughtful, strategic partner rooted in the values of opportunity and kindness. It is truly an organization that feels like Austin.
What Lindsay did before:
I have worked for over 20 years in education and on making our systems work better for all families, starting as a Social Studies teacher. Most recently, I raised funds to support our Austin ISD schools at the Austin Ed Fund. Prior to that, I spent many years in education policy, including 10 years at UT’s Charles A. Dana Center. I am a proud alum of Middlebury College and the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
Lindsay’s favorite thing to do in Central Texas:
The Hike and Bike Trail is my favorite spot in Austin. I also love the old restaurants that haven’t changed a bit and are thriving in the new Austin. My kids offer me an easy way to engage in our local schools which I cherish.
