Nakia’s role: As Community Impact Coordinator, I support all programmatic elements of the Foundation. Primarily, my responsibilities include coordinating grant-making, writing, and reporting for the expanding Community Impact Team and providing support with fundraising events and data management.
What brought Nakia to the Foundation: Coming to the Foundation, I wanted the opportunity to connect more intimately with the communities the Foundation was made to serve and work alongside them to make Austin a better place to live.
What Nakia did before: I have an extensive background in higher education and recruitment. Hailing as an alumna of Prairie View A&M University and Texas State University, I loved serving students and providing them with a memorable college experience.
