Since the local outbreak of COVID-19, Austin Community Foundation has quickly and effectively mobilized funding and resources to respond to needs of our community.

Keyholder’20 Raises Record-Breaking Amount

Held at the Long Center for the Performing Arts, Keyholder’20 convened influential business and philanthropic leaders for networking and conversation around the needs of women and children in Central Texas and beyond. In addition to revealing the winners of the Raise Your Voice Awards, the Women’s Fund announced that a total of $300,000 will be granted to local organizations through its 2020 grant cycle.

Education is key for Britney and her two daughters

Britney is a mother of a two. She got pregnant at age 18 and then again at age 19. Being a young mother of two, she knew it would be tough, maybe even impossible, to work and provide her daughters with good, affordable child care. By securing a job with Open Door Preschool, she was able to reenter the workforce and obtain subsidized high-quality education for her children.

Women’s Fund Awards $250,000 to Five Nonprofits

The Women’s Fund at Austin Community Foundation announced today five local nonprofits were chosen to receive a combined total of $250,000 — the largest annual amount in the 15-year history of the Women’s Fund — for programs aimed at improving the economic security of Central Texas women and children.
