Andre’s role:
My position supports the Foundation by helping ensure staff have reliable access to the technology, data, and tools needed to work efficiently and securely. I assist in day-to-day IT support, help maintain core systems such as CommunitySuite (CSuite) and Microsoft 365, and collaborate with staff across departments to strengthen technology adoption, data quality, cybersecurity readiness, and digital workflows. I also serve on the Data Governance Committee to uphold data standards and consistency across platforms. Additionally, I serve as the Foundation’s AI Champion, leading the exploration, training, and responsible implementation of artificial intelligence tools that improve productivity, accuracy, and decision-making.
What brought Andre to the Foundation:
What brought me to ACF was the measurable impact it brought to the Central Texas community and different small businesses. Knowing that my work is going to something bigger than me keeps me waking up every morning motivated to help people change the world through IT innovation and creativity.
What Andre did before:
Before being an IT Coordinator, I worked as a Managed Service Provider for Austin IT Guy. There, I helped manage over 200 clients, most being dental practices, but some being engineering, accounting, or solo businesses with their technical needs. This included Level 1-3 end-user helpdesk inquiries, server/network installations, cybersecurity management, and even office build-outs. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2024. However, I am still constantly educating myself in the ever-expanding world of IT, obtaining different CompTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association) and Cisco certifications along the way.
Andre’s favorite thing to do in Central Texas:
Outside of work, I enjoy a plethora of things. I love working out, studying mental philosophy, eating different foods, astronomy, and travelling. I thrive in learning new skills and exploring the unknown, as this is where one can truly find themselves.
