Shannon’s role: My role revolves around delivering exceptional service to our fundholders, cultivating relationships, and leveraging our community knowledge and expertise to guide strategic philanthropic endeavors. Together with the team, I am dedicated to ensuring that our donors receive high-quality support and guidance, and I’m committed to fostering relationships and partnerships that drive meaningful impact in our community.

What brought Shannon to the Foundation: As a lifelong community volunteer and advocate, I believe passionately in the ability of people to come together around a common mission to make change for their families, neighbors, and the world around them. I love meeting new people, building and growing connections, and getting my “hands dirty” alongside others who want to make a difference, so ACF, and the amazing team here, is a perfect fit!

What Shannon did before: I’ve spent my career serving nonprofits and public-facing organizations, focusing on stakeholder engagement, social impact, nonprofit management, and consultive services. Though I’m an Austin native, I earned my bachelor’s degree at Vassar College in New York, studying Political Science and Geography, followed by my master’s degree in Public Administration from Troy University while my partner served in the military.

Shannon’s favorite things to do in Central Texas: After living in three U.S time zones, I’m glad to be back in my hometown. My family and I love to adventure outside and explore local food and drink spots. My husband and I have a spirited, curious grade-schooler, so we spend a lot of time at playgrounds, splash pads, and parks. With any other “spare” time and energy, I support local nonprofits, sitting on multiple boards, and volunteering.
