Meagan’s role: I’m responsible for the vision and oversight of all programmatic elements of the Foundation. This includes building and managing all community-facing initiatives and programs, coordinating the Foundation’s philanthropic engagement in the community, overseeing the Foundation’s use of data, and developing new programs. Additionally, I serve as an assistant adjunct professor at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin.

What Meagan likes most about working at the Foundation: Austin is growing and changing dramatically. At ACF, I have the opportunity to work with staff and volunteer colleagues that are committed to ensuring a thriving community for all. It is a treat to come to work every day focused on this shared vision.

What Meagan did before: I’ve had the good fortune of spending my career in philanthropy. Prior to ACF, I was a policy fellow at the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health, advocating for accessible, culturally competent mental health care for all Texans. I’m a proud alumna of Furman University in Greenville, SC and the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin.

Meagan’s favorite thing to do in Central Texas: When I’m not working or volunteering, you can find me enjoying queso and margaritas with family and friends at every opportunity.
