As we reach the halfway point of the year, it’s hard not to acknowledge that the world feels heavy. Headlines are overwhelming, and it’s hard to know what to do to make a significant difference.
That’s why we’re especially grateful to be part of the Hispanic Impact Fund and Women’s Fund at Austin Community Foundation.

These programs provide a meaningful outlet for directing our hope and our actions. Surrounded by values-aligned, community-driven people, we’re reminded that while we can’t do everything alone, together we can accomplish so much.
In the first half of this year:
The Hispanic Impact Fund released a new report, Advancing Latino Futures, which provides an in-depth look at recent progress, challenges, and emerging opportunities for Latinos in Central Texas. We also hosted Strategy Labs, bringing together community members, nonprofit leaders, and funders to ground our work in real-life experiences.
The Women’s Fund invited supporters to see the impact of our grants firsthand through a series of site visits with our nonprofit partners, deepening our understanding of women’s issues in Central Texas and those working to solve them. Next month, we’ll gather for our Summer Book Club to engage in a thought-provoking discussion on how we can shape the future of women’s equity.
These moments of connection and shared learning remind us that we’re part of something bigger than ourselves.
And the second half of the year holds even more.
Both Funds are actively recruiting for our 2025 Grants Committees, offering a powerful opportunity to have an impact on how philanthropic dollars are allocated and to shape a future where all women and Latino communities in Central Texas can thrive.
