Economic Mobility Grants Available for Local Nonprofits

Advancing economic mobility is a top priority for Austin Community Foundation as income inequality remains one of our region’s most pressing challenges. As wages for low- and middle-income workers have failed to keep pace with the rising costs of housing, child care, and health care, too many families face barriers to financial stability and opportunity.

Through the Women’s Fund and Hispanic Impact Fund, we are able to invest in long-term, community-informed solutions that help close the opportunity gap. Austin Community Foundation is excited to announce that both funds are now accepting grant applications. Together, the programs will award $1.1 million in unrestricted, general operating support—$550,000 each—to local nonprofits working to advance economic mobility.

Each grants cycle reflects our commitment to trust-based philanthropy, data-informed strategies, and the voices of our community. Funding decisions are made by a diverse group of donors and community reviewers.

Central Texas nonprofits (operating in Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, or Williamson counties) whose work aligns with our programs’ impact areas are encouraged to apply for one or both grant opportunities using a streamlined application with a single point of entry. All applications are due by Friday, July 31 at 5 p.m. CT.

Hispanic Impact Fund

Central Texas’s vibrant Latino community—nearly one million strong and growing—fuels our region with cultural richness, entrepreneurial spirit, and dynamic energy. That’s why we invest in the following impact areas:

Women’s Fund

The Women’s Fund works to address persistent economic and health disparities faced by women in Central Texas. Research shows investing in a woman can alleviate poverty across a community, which is why we invest in the following impact areas:
