In 2024, Austin Community Foundation awarded approximately $900,000 in scholarships to students pursuing a higher education or trade skill. A majority of our scholarships support students from Central Texas or students at local educational institutions.

As a first-generation Latina student, starting a new journey has been a rollercoaster of emotions. By receiving this award, I will be able to continue my education and continue to grow and inspire my community. I hope you know that this truly impacted me in such a great way. It’s another worry my parents have off their shoulders, and I can’t wait to continue to work hard at The University of Houston to achieve my dreams.
