Sara’s role: I manage outgoing grants and oversee all of our active grant cycles. This includes grant cycles for our strategic programs, the Women’s Fund and the Hispanic Impact Fund, as well as applications we facilitate for our fundholders. This includes administering grant applications, agreements, and reporting for internal and external clients and providing technical support to grantors, grantees and applicants.
What Sara likes most about working at the Foundation: I love being part of such a great team of people and working with folks who are dedicated to making a difference in Central Texas. Every day at the Foundation is different and I have the chance to use a variety of skills in my job.
What Sara did before: Previously, I worked with a special needs consultant and worked as an office manager and music instructor at a music studio. I currently teach private harp lessons a couple of times a month!
Sara’s favorite thing to do in Central Texas: Outside of work, I prefer to spend my time hiking, eating, taking pottery classes, taking care of plants/shopping for plants, talking about my favorite TV shows and hanging out with my cats.
